Swiss turbo junior Siri Wigger on a roll

Madshus talent Siri Wigger (SUI) crushed her competitors in the 3-event Swiss Ski Nordic Weekend.

The 18-year-old won every race in the series last weekend, swept up all the bonus points, and won the overall competition by nearly four and a half minutes.

Siri Wigger opened her race weekend by winning the 3.3-kilometer skate prologue on Friday by 16 seconds. On Saturday, she won the classic 4.1-kilometer distance race on the roller ski course Realp by nearly a minute and a half. And in the final 4.5-kilometer pursuit on Sunday, she was more than two minutes faster than the next competitor.

In the men’s race, Siri’s older brother Nicola was eighth overall. The strong 20-year-old was only three minutes and change behind Olympian and World Champion Dario Cologna, who was third overall.

Way to kick off the season in style!
