Madshus racers take home four relay medals from the Norwegian National Championships in Meråker on Sunday, as well as a bronze medal in the 15-kilometer classic race on Thursday and several top-10 finishes.

Marathon specialist Astrid Øyre Slind helped her club team Oppdal to gold in the women’s relay. She skied the second leg on a team consisting of her twin sister Silje and her younger sister Kari, turning the relay into a family outing. Hans Christer Holund helped his club team LYN Ski to gold in the men’s relay, while Marion Rønning Huber and Håkon Østberg Amundsen helped their teams to the bronze medal.

The future is bright

Strong performances this week and consistently throughout the season so far secure a ticket to the 2019 FIS Nordic World Championships in Seefeld (AUT) in three weeks: Both Holund, who took home a bronze medal from the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang (South Korea), and Heidi Weng were named to the 2019 World Championships team for Norway.
